EICR & Consumer Unit Upgrade

The Consumer Units [or Fusebox] can be something that doesn't come to mind very often, usually until something goes wrong. We aim to help our customers get a better understanding of the purpose of their electrical switchgear and why periodic testing is so vitally important.

Some things to look out for, any number of these could mean your system is outdated and a potential hazard to your family and home.

• Rewireable fuses.
• No RCD protection, especially to sockets and metal lighting accessories. 
• Frequent RCD/ nuisance tripping.
• Visual burning/ dark spots to any electrical apparatus.
• Can smell burning or gassy odour.
• New lamps (light bulbs) blowing frequently.
